Privacy: Your personal details are absolutely safe with us. We will never release any of your personal
details to any other entity except as necessary to complete your travel arrangements.
Spam: You will never get spam or junk email as a result of registering with our site or providing your email address to us. We will never release your email address to any other business unless required to complete your travel arrangements. Normally, we only give our email address to vendors and will only forward essential email to you, such as confirmations.
Registering with our website will only result in you receiving our e-newsletter, sent monthly or bi-weekly. Any email we send will clearly identify Magic Carpet Travel as the originator. You may request at any time to be removed from our e-newsletter distribution list.
Please read these Terms and Conditions completely! They are the ground rules for changes, refunds, cancellations, and associated fees.
Voluntary/Convenience Change Policies:
1. FEES: There is a minimum $50.00 PER PERSON fee for every discretionary (voluntary/convenience) change to a package once you make your reservations. Airline change fees and fare differences will also apply. Other changes may incur fees, but will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
2. If hotel and/or car are canceled within four (4) business days before your arrival at your destination, a MINIMUM OF ONE NIGHT’S COSTS or ONE DAY’S RENTAL, PLUS ANY APPLICABLE TAXES OF TOTAL PACKAGE WILL BE CHARGED.
3. Fees vary by fare type. Any changes are subject to availability and current repricing.
4. Cancellations after Purchase, eight (8) or more days before departure will result in a penalty charge (minimum) of $50.00 PER PERSON plus any additional airfare cancellation fees as decreed by the airline. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. Such fees cover the additional work involved.
5. Airlines: READ THE AIRLINE’S TERMS AND RESTRICTIONS. Airfare cancellation fees vary by fare type and airline up to and including tickets being COMPLETELY NON-REFUNDABLE.
Name Changes: International regulations prohibit name changes on air and cruise reservations.
Refund Policies:
1. Cancellation Waivers/Insurance. We strongly urge all our clients to purchase Trip Protection Insurance or Cancellation Waivers every time you travel. That is the ONLY WAY you can reasonably expect to protect your travel investment against unforeseen circumstances. In most cases, convenience changes are NOT covered! Insurance policy premiums are NOT REFUNDABLE.
2. Magic Carpet Travel (MCT) is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any expenses incurred by travelers seeking cancellations and/or refunds. We have no control or influence over airlines, vehicle rental companies, lodging providers, or other transportation providers and cannot waive or refund their cancellation fees.
3. When seeking refunds, there is a minimum, non-refundable cancellation fee of $50 per person, regardless of the cancellation reason, including illness or any other emergencies.
4. MCT reserves the right to REFUSE TO REFUND BOOKING OR PROFESSIONAL FEES if you cancel your travel. Booking fees are for our professional services already provided on your behalf, whether you travel or not.
5. Once the travel commencement date is reached, travel packages are totally NON-REFUNDABLE unless Trip Protection Insurance has been purchased. If you have purchased Trip Protection Insurance, read the policy and familiarize yourself with its coverage and exceptions. Any claims for compensation from an insurance provider are between you and the insurance company and subject to the insurer’s Terms and Conditions.
6. Partially or completely used packages are totally NON-REFUNDABLE.
7. Any unused or partially used components of the package including hotel accommodations and car rentals are NON-REFUNDABLE.
8. Refunds of unused airline tickets are at all times subject to the air carrier's ticket rules and regulations which may not allow any refunds. MCT is not responsible in any way for unused tickets.
Airfare and airline seats cannot be held or guaranteed until actually paid for, or until you place a deposit on a package. Airfares change as often as three times per day, and an airfare quote today may change momentarily either up or down, but usually up. Seat requests are under the airline’s control, not MCT. Group airfare quotes do not contain taxes and fees levied by the airlines as they are subject to change until ticketed and are not under the control of MCT.
Pre-Departure Tips:
1. If you are traveling abroad, travel documentation and health issues are YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. MCT will assist IF YOU ASK, but there will be a service fee of at least $50.
2. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY YOUR FLIGHT DETAILS BEFORE DEPARTURE. Airlines may change their schedules at any time. Remember to contact the airline 24 hours BEFORE departure to confirm your flight times and to check-in online if applicable. Call again just before leaving to go to the airport, or check online.
3. Please arrive at the airport at least 1.5 hours before departure for domestic flights and 2 hours before departure for international.
4. Airlines make their own rules and are not under MCT’s control. MCT is not responsible if you do not like some aspect of your airline flights such as seating, refreshments, or other aspects of customer service.
